Day 6: Down and Dirty

Today’s workout was just that, down and dirty.  To spice things up, I signed up for a free four-week Sunday morning bootcamp  class hosted by City Sports and Ultimate Bootcamp.  Joining me in this challenge is K10 (pictured right), who got after if like a warrior!  After a quick warm-up in the Back Bay store location, UBC trainers (pictured middle) ran the group over to the Boston Common for some squats, pushups, tricep dips, planks, calf raises, toe taps, inchworms (ugh), burpees (ugh).   Having done UBC on and off for a few years while I was living in the ‘burbs, I knew we’d get a great workout.  And that we did, in the sand and snow of the Common.  Layered up and working hard, it didn’t take too long to break a sweat.  Will K10 and I see YOU next Sunday??  9am. Be there. Nothing says good morning like burpees in the snow…

    Seriously??? Burpees in the snow?? Have you not learned anything from living here? Burpees sell seeds and plants! No way should any Burpees be in the snow! They love and thrive in warmth and sun! I’m sticking with Burpees! You go do the other crazy healthy stuff…..in the freezing cold.
    And you will DO IT! xoxo
