Sort of. Today’s workout was an early one. The only thing getting me in the gym this morning was knowing that I’d see some friendly faces for our version of the iditarod. Last summer on a work retreat, teams competed in an indoor iditarod consisting of a 2000 meter row, 1 mile run on the treadmill at a 5% incline, and 3 mile route on the bike. It’s a great workout because it keeps the activity level up and challenges you at different levels, moving from one machine to the next. Row, run, bike and you’re done before you know it. Watching the sun come up over Huntington Ave while running uphill on a treadmill is pretty close to watching the sun come up in the backcountry of Alaska on a dogsled.
